The Gobi is quarried from a bedrock quarry. It is dense, which makes it suitable for Interior and Exterior applications. This is a sedimentary stone that is formed in shallow seas and is composed mainly of calcite calcium carbonate. This cream/beige limestone can have small black or gold spots randomly scattered throughout the slab.
Gobi is great for large projects as the color tone and overall look remain consistent from shipment to shipment. However, when using Gobi tile and slab on the same project, it is best to view them before installation.
